IDPA - International Defensive Pistol Association
The Peace country Fish & Game Association is pleased to offer an IDPA Program to it’s membership and to newcomers interested in the sport. newcomers are invited to attend an introductory shoot with the IDPA group, free of charge, as an orientation to the program and as an opportunity to experience the sport in action. Required equipment is a holster, mag pouches, a reliable pistol and at least 2 to 5 magazines. Revolvers are also welcome, and used regularly by some of our members.
To become a regular participant in the program, PCFGA Membership is required, as well as membership in the IDPA. These combined affiliations allow for insurance coverage, use of the PCFGA sport shooting facility and registration for IDPA Classification and Club Matches, among other benefits. participation in the IDPA Program requires members to follow the PCFGA’s Range Rules as well as the IDPA Rule Book, to ensure a safe and fair shooting experience.
Program costs are managed through participation fees applied to IDPA activities. Practice and Classifier shoots are $5, Club Matches are $20, and can be paid upon arrival to the event. These fees allow for maintenance and the purchase of targets and props necessary to facilitate an IDPA course of Fire.
IDPA activities are regularly scheduled year-round. During the regular shooting season, practice is every second Wednesday, from 7pm to 9pm, and one Sunday a month 11am-1pm during the winter months. Take a look at the IDPA Photo Gallery and please Contact PCFGA with any questions you might have about our IDPA program, or contact Greg at 780-625-7295.
